New Museum Names First Artist Studio Residents; Forge Project Announces 2026 Fellows
Yun Choi, Alison Kuo, and Korakrit Arunanondchai have been chosen as the first residents for the New Museum's Artist Studio, a 730-square-foot space in the OMA expansion. Announced on May 7, the residency will run from spring 2026 to winter 2027, enabling artists to produce new works and create exhibitions and public programs. Kuo is set to present a performance inspired by Cantonese Opera culture this fall. Meanwhile, David Zwirner now represents Robert Therrien's estate, and several artists and organizations have received various awards and appointments. Lastly, Frieze New York opens next week with uniforms designed by Reika Takebayashi.
