New Independent Publishing Fair TESTO Launches in Florence
TESTO [Come si diventa un libro], a new fair dedicated to independent publishing, will take place at Stazione Leopolda in Florence from February 25 to 27, 2022. Organized by Pitti Immagine in collaboration with Maddalena Fossombroni and Pietro Torrigiani—founders of the acclaimed independent bookstore Todo Modo—the event aims to increase reader awareness by showcasing the entire book production chain. The fair features seventy participating publishers and a series of "stations" (Manoscritto, Risvolto, Traduzione, Segno, Racconto, Libreria, Lettore) that illustrate each stage of a book's life, from manuscript to reader. Curators ("capistazione") will oversee events and workshops. Admission is free with mandatory registration. The fair is planned as an annual event.
