New illustrated guidebook introduces children to MAXXI museum in Rome

publication · 2026-04-27

Edizioni MAXXI has published "Alla scoperta del MAXXI", a new illustrated guidebook for children that explores the MAXXI museum in Rome and its Flaminio district. The book features a cat named Stella who guides young readers through the museum's iconic artworks and architectural spaces. Written by Irene Corsetti with illustrations by Carlo Stanga, the guide highlights the museum designed by Zaha Hadid in 2009, as well as nearby cultural landmarks like the Auditorium Ennio Morricone and the future Museo della Scienza. A section is dedicated to Hadid, the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize, born in Baghdad. The publication follows Edizioni MAXXI's previous children's book on Renzo Piano.
