New Galleries and Residencies Emerge in Puglia: NICO and Goodnight
Two art projects debuted in post-Covid Puglia on September 5, 2020. NICO, a gallery located in Bari and backed by Associazione Afa, was established by artists Mariantonietta Bagliato and Fabio Santacroce. Its first exhibition, Policy of the sun, showcases Santacroce's works created during lockdown, utilizing red and white clothespins. The gallery's goal is to promote international artists and establish itself in the market until June 2021. Concurrently, the Goodnight residency initiative in Corato, developed by artist Raffaela Fiorella and Pier Alfeo, features pieces from six emerging artists from the Academies of Fine Arts of Bari and Foggia. Curated by Nicola Zito and Fiorella, it is supported by Your Murgia Experience to foster innovative tourism through art.
