New French-Inspired Art Space Opens in Palermo

exhibition · 2026-04-26

On September 12, 2024, Palermo opened a fresh art space called In Via Cluverio, Officina, created by the French artist Josephine Flasseur. This unique venue is situated in a repurposed artisan workshop on Via Cluverio, right by the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa. The inaugural exhibit features 'Sinopia' by Michele Canzoneri. Looking ahead, there will be residency programs for artists from France and around the globe, plus the debut of Officina Allegra, an artist object library, on September 28 during the 12th I-Design, Palermo's design week, which runs until October 6. The lineup includes artists like Big Dumb Project, Tallulah Cassavetti, and André Saraiva. Flasseur aims to foster artistic dialogue among varied contemporary works.
