New children's activity book explores artists' studios
24 ORE Cultura has published "Gli Atelier degli Artisti," an illustrated activity book for children aged 8 to 12. Written by Marina Scognamiglio and Silvia Marinelli, the book takes young readers on a journey through the studios of seven master artists: Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Piet Mondrian, and Jackson Pollock. Each studio reflects the artist's unique style and creative process—Leonardo's filled with machines, Rembrandt's bustling with students, Monet's set in nature, where Impressionism was born. The book includes interactive elements: dozens of stickers to place within the pages, allowing children to "furnish" the studios. Scognamiglio described it as a time-travel journey through words and images, blending historical context, techniques, and tools with a playful, educational approach. Published in Milan in 2022, the 76-page book costs €16.90.
