New Books by Philippe Sollers and René Girard
Two new books by Philippe Sollers have been released: his memoirs titled Un vrai roman (Plon) and Guerres secrètes, an essay on Homer, ancient Chinese warfare, and the 'cursed' figure Joseph de Maistre (Carnets Nord). A reissue of De Kooning, vite is out from La Différence. Simultaneously, René Girard's Achever Clausewitz, a reflection on the erasure of the institution of war, is published by the same editor.
