New Archaeological Museum Opens in Feltre Under the Dolomites

The Feltria archaeological museum was inaugurated on April 29, 2022, in Feltre, Italy, showcasing a blend of traditional artifacts and modern interactive digital tools. This collection highlights the Raetic heritage of Feltre and its historical importance between Trento and Belluno. Notable exhibits feature the largest Asclepius statue found in north-central Italy, a votive altar dedicated to Anna Perenna, and a funerary monument for Lucius Oclatius Florentinus, alongside his burial locations in Feltre and Rome. The museum's displays extend into the streets of Feltre. Situated at Museo Civico Feltre, via Luzzo 23, it welcomes visitors daily from April 30 through May, with entry priced at €8 reduced, €10 full, and €14 family. Recent openings also include Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Verona and Museo Ninfeo all'Esquilino in Rome.
