Never Say Die Bourbon Resumes U.S. Shipments After Trump Lifts Whiskey Tariffs

Never Say Die Bourbon, a Kentucky straight bourbon aged in England, is resuming shipments to the U.S. after President Trump lifted the 10 percent tariff on U.K. whisky. The brand had stopped importing bottles in early 2025 due to the levy. Co-founder Brian Luftman stated that imports will restart this month, noting that King Charles's meeting with Trump came at an opportune time. The bourbon is distilled near Lexington from a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, aged initially in the U.S. for two years, then shipped to White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, England for about a year. Co-founder Martha Dalton, who also co-founded the Bourbon Alliance and led the Free the Spirit campaign, called for the removal of tariffs on other U.K. spirits and Irish whiskey. The brand's Barrel Strength Bourbon and Rye Whiskey are also affected.
