In 2022, Netflix released 'Inventing Anna,' a series created by Shonda Rhimes that tells the story of Anna Sorokin, who was incarcerated at Rikers Island in spring 2018 for grand larceny. The plot revolves around journalist Vivian Kent, portrayed by Anna Chlumsky, as she investigates Sorokin, played by Julia Garner.
