Netflix and Premio Solinas launch fourth edition of screenwriting workshop in Rome
In Rome, the fourth iteration of La Bottega della Sceneggiatura, a screenwriting initiative by Premio Solinas in collaboration with Netflix, has commenced. This program is designed for young screenwriters aged 18 to 30 living in Italy, with a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion. Interested applicants can submit their entries until October 20, 2025. A panel of industry experts will choose up to 20 projects for the Orientation Laboratory, where concepts will be developed further. From there, ten projects will move on to the Advanced Training Laboratory, each receiving a scholarship of €2,500. Additionally, two projects will be awarded €7,000 and €4,000, respectively. Netflix may also provide winners with opportunities as writing room assistants for an original series, reinforcing their dedication to fostering emerging Italian talent.
