Netflix and Pokémon debut stop-motion series 'La concierge Pokémon'

Netflix has partnered with The Pokémon Company for the first time to produce 'La concierge Pokémon', a stop-motion animated series premiering December 28. Directed by Iku Ogawa and written by Harumi Doki, the series is produced by dwarf studios, known for stop-motion animation. Concept art and character design are by Tadahiro Uesugi. The story follows Haru, a young concierge at a Pokémon resort on a southern island, where she rediscovers herself while caring for visiting Pokémon. The trailer features numerous Pokémon from various game generations, notably Psyduck as Haru's partner. The main theme song 'Have a Good Time Here' is performed by Mariya Takeuchi, a prominent city pop singer from Japan's economic boom era. The collaboration was announced in early 2023.
