Nesxt Independent Art Festival restructures for Torino Art Week 2017
The Nesxt Independent Art Festival, which first launched in 2016, is making a comeback during Torino Art Week with an innovative approach, shifting from via Quittengo to more than forty independent venues throughout the city. The selection committee is comprised of Lorenzo Balbi, Serena Carbone, Pietro Gaglianò, Olga Gambari (artistic director), Andrea Lacarpia, Elena Motisi, Roberta Pagani, and Marco Scotini. Kicking off on October 26, the event will run for two weeks, featuring a temporary residency in Quadrilatero Romano. Notable events include Radio Papesse's broadcasts, the Artribune prize for a double-page spread in January, and the Autofocus prize for performance. Collaborations involve Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, with participating spaces such as Adiacenze, Artforms, and Caffè Internazionale, along with residents like Autofocus 9, Café Müller, and Galleria Moitre.
