digital · 2026-04-27

The second season of Art is Open, a video format by IGT, has launched at the MAXXI Museum in Rome. Hosted by actor Neri Marcorè, the series aims to make contemporary art accessible through humor and irony. The first episode features Michelangelo Pistoletto's 'Autoritratto di schiena' (2021) and Patrick Tuttofuoco's installation 'On the corner where we stand' (2006). Directed by Tobia Passigato and produced by Indiana Production, the project was conceived by Epik Johannes. IGT, the Italian lottery operator, has a history of art patronage, including restoration of Raphael's 'Triumph of Galatea' at Villa Farnesina and support for MAXXI since before its opening. Enrica Ronchini, IGT's External Relations & Responsible Gaming Senior Director, emphasized the company's commitment to contemporary art as 'the art of our time.' IGT also funded street art by Alice Pasquini, Giulio Vesprini, and Uno at Casilino Sky Park in Rome, with a similar project planned for Milan's NoLo district.
