NEOM Reveals Four Megacities in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 Plan

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

NEOM, part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, has unveiled a promotional video highlighting four advanced megacities currently being built in the country's northwest. This video seeks to address doubts following the introduction of THE LINE, a 170-kilometer, car-free city designed for 9 million inhabitants and powered solely by renewable energy. The other three cities include Trojena, a mountain resort located 50 km from the Gulf of Aqaba; Sindalah, a luxury seaside resort set to debut in 2024; and Oxagon, a floating port city. Renowned architecture firms such as OMA, Adjaye Associates, and others are reportedly contributing to the design. The latest project updates are showcased at THE LINE Experience exhibition, running until April 29, 2023, at the Diriyah Biennale Foundation in Riyadh.
