Neil Dusheiko Architects designs Cambridgeshire extension framing Gothic church
Church House, a residential extension in South Cambridgeshire, has been completed by Neil Dusheiko Architects, showcasing views of a nearby Grade II*-listed Gothic church. Commissioned by a London family, the project offers a modern home within a conservation area. It involves reconfiguring both the main residence and an adjacent coach house, with designs and materials that harmonize with the church's architecture. A prominent picture window in the sunken dining space highlights the church tower, which Dusheiko calls "the defining moment." Due to conservation regulations, the front elevation remains mostly intact, while the coach house has been transformed into a versatile playroom and studio. Dusheiko established his practice in 2011.
