institutional · 2026-04-27

The Italian Ministry of Culture (formerly Mibac) has announced the preselective tests for 1,052 non-managerial positions dedicated to reception and surveillance, part of a larger recruitment plan originally launched in 2019 for 2,052 roles. The call, issued under former Minister Alberto Bonisoli, attracted 209,729 applicants: 58% women, primarily from Campania (25%), Lazio (20%), and Sicily (10%), with an average age of 34. Tests will run from January 8 to 20, 2020, at the Nuova Fiera di Roma (pavilions 1, 3, 4, 5, East entrance), with two daily shifts at 8:30 and 14:30. Successful candidates will receive permanent contracts as guards and custodians, classified in Area II, economic position F2 under the national collective labor agreement, with a gross monthly salary of €1,594.35 over 13 months. Positions will be distributed across Italian Mibact offices based on specific needs. The recruitment process reflects the ministry's efforts to bolster staffing after the merger of culture and tourism portfolios under Minister Dario Franceschini.
