Neapolitan street artist Raffo Art paints Bud Spencer mural
Following the death of actor Bud Spencer on June 27, 2016, Neapolitan street artist Raffo Art created a spontaneous mural in his honor. The work was painted overnight in via Ferrante Imparato, in the San Giovanni a Teduccio district of Naples. Raffo Art announced the tribute on his Facebook page, writing: "Tonight I dedicated it to you, great Neapolitan actor!!!!! Undisputed myth…" The artist, whose page is called "Raffo-ART I Colori Positivi Della Nostra Città," frequently uses positive urban imagery. Spencer's death overshadowed news of Italy's victory over Spain in the European football championship, uniting fans in mourning. The mural depicts the beloved actor, known as the "gentle giant" of Italian cinema.
