Ncontemporary Opens Milan Space with Cristiano Tassinari Solo Show

Ncontemporary, founded by Emanuele Norsa in 2014 in a Knightsbridge garage, has opened a new permanent space in Milan's Città Studi district. The 100 sqm venue includes a Main Gallery and a Project Room, plus storage and offices. The inaugural exhibition, 'Mother's Bliss,' is a solo show by Cristiano Tassinari (Forlì, 1980), curated by Roberta Pagani, running from January 10 to February 15, 2019. Tassinari's works—paintings, sculptures, installations—draw from his mother's collection of mementos, ornaments, and souvenirs. The Project Room features a project by Noe Sendas, curated by Claudio Composti. Ncontemporary partners with mc2gallery, led by Claudio Composti and Vincenzo Maccarone, specializing in contemporary photography. The gallery aims to support young international artists with a flexible model. Tassinari, who lives and works in Berlin, has previously exhibited at PAC Milan, MAM Mantua, Opificio delle Idee Rovereto, Bernheimer Contemporary Berlin, and Van Der Gallery Turin. His 2016 show '55m2 It's Our Home' at MAR Ravenna explored post-colonialism and WWII Italian imagery.
