festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The 21st edition of the Natura Dèi Teatri festival in Parma, directed by Francesco Pititto and Maria Federica Maestri, runs from summer to autumn 2016 under the theme 'Punto Cieco' (Blind Spot). This is part of a triennial project (2015-2017) dedicated to Richard Serra's 'The Matter of Time'. The festival features site-specific performances, live electronics, dance, and installations. Highlights include Lenz's 'Il Furioso (2)' and 'Macbeth', a residency by Austrian choreographer Simon Mayer, and sound works by Janek Schaefer and Lillevan. Venues include the Tempio della Cremazione di Valera (designed by Paolo Zermani), Museo Amedeo Bocchi, and Lenz Teatro. The 2017 edition 'Scia' will conclude the Serra-inspired trilogy.
