Native American and African American Art Unfold Across New York Exhibitions

The New York Historical Society is featuring the Hsu-Tang collection, highlighting modern and contemporary Native American art. The exhibition, titled "House Made of Dawn: Art by Native Americans 1880 to Now," will run until August 16, 2026. It includes works from notable artists such as Nampeyo, Maria Martinez, and T.C. Cannon, spanning around 150 years. The Tang Wing for American Democracy, funded by Oscar Tang and Agnes Hsu-Tang, is set for its grand unveiling on June 18.
