National Security Action Rebrands for 2028 Amid Criticism Over Gaza Genocide

National Security Action (NSA), the Democratic foreign policy advocacy group that staffed Biden's national security team and promoted the Ukraine war and Gaza genocide, is reassembling for the 2028 election. Founded in February 2017 by Ben Rhodes and Jake Sullivan, NSA is funded largely by Alex Soros. The group has appointed Maher Bitar, a Palestinian-American former NSC official, as executive director to appear less opaque. Bitar previously served as chief counsel to Senator Adam Schiff and played a role in Russiagate and the first Trump impeachment. Despite 80% of Democrats viewing Israel unfavorably (Pew), NSA's issue papers focus on Ukraine and Russia, with no critical stance on Israel's genocide in Gaza. Critics argue the rebrand is a deceptive attempt to sell the same imperial violence under a new face.
