National Museums Scotland seeks public stories for 2028 fashion exhibition

National Museums Scotland has issued a public call for personal stories, garments, and photographs related to British designers Jean Muir, Bill Gibb, and Zandra Rhodes, ahead of a major exhibition titled 'A Fashion Odyssey' scheduled from 1 July to 12 November 2028. The exhibition will mark the centenary of Muir's birth and explore the designers' impact, particularly in Scotland. The public is encouraged to contact the curators via email at fashion@nms.ac.uk. The three designers were brought together in the 'Odyssey' room at Fortnum & Mason in London in 1970, where they collectively shaped a modern concept of British fashion. The exhibition aims to examine their personal design identities and their lasting influence.
