The National Gallery in London revealed its exhibition lineup for 2018, which includes works by renowned artists such as Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Ed Ruscha, Thomas Cole, Giovanni Bellini, Andrea Mantegna, Lorenzo Lotto, Akseli Gallen-Kallela, and Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. "Monet and Architecture" (April 9–July 29) will display more than 70 paintings. "Drawn in Colour: Degas from the Burrell" (until April 2018) celebrates Degas' centenary with pastels from the Burrell Collection. "Ed Ruscha: Course of Empire" (June 11–October 7) pairs Ruscha's pieces with Cole's "The Course of Empire." "Mantegna and Bellini" (October 1–January 27, 2019) examines their artistic exchange, while "Lorenzo Lotto: Portraits" (November 5–January 10, 2019) is Lotto's first exhibition in the UK. "Lake Keitele" (November 15–February 4, 2018) showcases Gallen-Kallela's lake imagery, and "Murillo: The Self Portraits" (February 28–May 21) brings together his two self-portraits.
