National Galleries of Scotland acquires complete Peter Doig print collection
The National Galleries of Scotland has successfully obtained 67 prints created by Peter Doig, alongside an agreement to include one edition of every future print by the artist in the national collection. This marks the first occasion where the institution has acquired both the complete existing print collection of an artist and all forthcoming works. This acquisition honors Doig's Scottish roots and recognizes him as a prominent contemporary artist. A selection of these prints will be showcased for free at National Galleries Scotland: Modern One in Edinburgh, beginning on 14 February 2026, featuring pieces associated with the 2016 publication Morning, Paramin, a collaboration between Doig and St Lucian poet Derek Walcott.
