National Academy of Design Revives Artist's Eye Series with Shelter from the Storm

The National Academy of Design will launch "Shelter from the Storm," the first Artist's Eye series since 2013, from September 17, 2026, to January 16, 2027. This exhibition, co-curated by Stan Allen and Polly Apfelbaum, features eighty works from the Academy’s collection and represents the largest collection-based showcase in the institution's history. The theme revolves around responses to upheaval, uncertainty, and transformation throughout American history, marking a significant culmination of the Academy's bicentennial anniversary. The exhibition will be held on the 2nd floor at 519 West 26th Street, New York City.
