Nasr Dallaa's Imaginomena: Nature Photography as Emotional Experience

Virginia-based fine art photographer Nasr Dallaa uses his project Imaginomena to transform landscapes, seascapes, and botanical subjects into contemplative visual experiences. Rather than documenting places, his work aims to communicate emotional states inspired by nature. Dallaa's diverse background in graphic design, mathematics, healthcare management, and finance informs his precise yet intuitive approach. A key work, "Autumn's Symphony," photographed in Scotland, gained significance when landscape photographer Paul Mitchell, during a workshop in northern France, could not identify its location, reinforcing Dallaa's belief that compelling photography transcends geographic identity. Dallaa cites Salvador Dalí as an influence for imaginative thinking. His ongoing series include "Forest Intimacies" (color), "Silence in Texture" (black and white), "Above the Sky" (elevated landscapes), and "Emergence" (botanical themes). He plans to expand these into exhibitions, publications, and large-scale fine art prints.
