Nasher Museum's 'Everything Now All At Once' Showcases Underrepresented Artists from Permanent Collection

The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University is presenting 'Everything Now All At Once,' an exhibition drawn entirely from its permanent collection. The show features works by Nick Cave, Ai Weiwei, Nina Chanel Abney, Wangechi Mutu, Jeffrey Gibson, Amy Sherald, Barbara Chase-Riboud, Alfredo Jaar, Nicolas Lambelet Coleman, Ruben Natal-San Miguel, Xaviera Simmons, and Wangari Mathenge, among others. The exhibition emphasizes analog media like painting and sculpture, deliberately contrasting with the current era of rapid technological change. It highlights global cultures and people of color, focusing on joy, resilience, and individuality. The collection strategy over the past twenty years has prioritized acquiring works by artists from historically marginalized backgrounds. The exhibition has been ongoing since August 2025, will rotate new pieces next month, and continues through November 1 in Durham, North Carolina.
