Influencer and cookbook author Nara Smith, known for making cola and chewing gum from scratch, has dyed her hair a warm auburn red. In a social media post, she said she had been texting her hairstylist for months about the decision. Her stylist lightened her dark hair with Matrix High Riser Pre-Bonded Lightener, then applied a blend of nine Matrix Super Sync shades including brunette, copper, ruby red, and warm blonde. After washing, Smith requested more mocha brown and ash tones to achieve a burgundy look. Her bob was cut to the nape of her neck, tapered below the chin. Smith has 3C hair type and experienced postpartum thinning, so her stylist added tracks for volume. The color requires a gloss every four to six weeks, according to celebrity colorist Jacob Schwartz. Smith previously experimented with an architectural hair look for the holidays last year.
