Napapijri x Moreno Ferrari: sustainable design capsule for Milan Design Week

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

For Milan Design Week 2022, Napapijri collaborates with Compasso d'Oro winner Moreno Ferrari on a sustainable capsule collection. The five-piece line—including two Northfarer jackets, a hoodie, and a T-shirt—is 100% recyclable and made from ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon fiber from waste like fishing nets and industrial scraps. The designs draw from the urban landscape of road construction sites, using materials such as bubble wrap and plastic safety nets as all-over prints and visual elements, continuing the artist's 'NO project' from 2018, which transformed Napapijri's iconic Skidoo jacket into an industrial design object. Ferrari stated, 'There is no aesthetics without ethics,' emphasizing the collaboration's commitment to sustainability. The capsule will be exhibited at Rossana Orlandi gallery from June 7 during Design Week. Napapijri's online recovery program allows customers to return items after two years for reintroduction into the circular production chain.
