Nao Tamura's Ryo Library for Porro Debuts at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026
At Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, Porro will unveil the Ryo library, a subtle and conceptual design by Nao Tamura. The piece features long horizontal surfaces supported by adjustable triangular elements made from a single folded aluminum sheet, emphasizing precision and lightness. Its modular and versatile structure aims to organize space without dominating it, creating a sculptural presence with a deconstructive language that generates rhythm through planes, voids, and lines. The name 'Ryo' refers to the edge where two planes meet, enhancing its dynamic perception from different viewpoints. Finished in brushed or painted aluminum with a nearly imperceptible protective layer, the library reflects light to produce shifting shadows and reflections. Displayed in a stand designed by Piero Lissoni for Porro, the Ryo library transforms from mere furniture into a flexible tool for spatial thinking. The event runs from April 21 to 26, 2026, at Fiera Milano Rho in Hall 11, Stand D15-E18.
