Nancy Rubins' Boat Sculpture at Lincoln Center and Helen Brough's DUMBO Installation Highlight Summer Public Art

On display at Lincoln Center's Josie Robertson Plaza until September 4 is Nancy Rubins' sculpture 'Big Pleasure Point,' presented by the Public Art Fund. This piece incorporates salvaged boats from Pleasure Point Marina, forming a structure reminiscent of a bird. Additionally, Rubins' collages can be seen at Paul Kasmin Gallery in Chelsea until August 18. In DUMBO, Helen Brough's 'Emulated Flora,' finished in May, adorns the lobby of 70 Washington Street with laser-cut Plexiglas designs. E.V. Day's 'Bride Fight' installation at Lever House is available for viewing until August 26, showcasing deconstructed wedding gowns. Notably, Rubins taught at UCLA for over two decades before stepping down following a firearm incident involving a student. Lever House also features Damien Hirst's bronze sculpture in its art program.
