Nan Goldin's Cinematic Exhibition 'This Will Not End Well' Opens at Pirelli HangarBicocca

The exhibition 'This Will Not End Well' by Nan Goldin is currently on display at Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan until 15 February. This marks her inaugural European exhibition centered on filmmaking. It includes installations designed by architect Hala Wardé, alongside significant pieces like 'The Ballad of Sexual Dependency' (1981–2022) and 'The Other Side' (1992–2021). Two new slideshows, 'You Never Did Anything Wrong' (2024) and 'Stendhal Syndrome' (2024), make their debut, while the Soundwalk Collective presents 'Bleeding' (2025). Curated by Roberta Tenconi and Lucia Aspesi, the exhibition delves into themes of memory and trauma. Goldin, who established P.A.I.N. in 2017, has had a profound impact on fashion photography and visual culture, highlighting empathy and the interplay between personal experiences and societal issues.
