NADA Miami 2016: Six Top Galleries at the Satellite Fair
NADA Miami, the satellite fair to Art Basel Miami Beach, returned to the Hotel Deauville after a year at the Fontainbleau. The fair featured 6 standout galleries from around the world: Southard Reid (London) with works by Lea Cetera, Ann Craven, Celia Hempton, and Joanna Piotrowska; Galeria BWA Warszawa (Warsaw) with a solo presentation of Iza Tarasewicz; David Petersen (Minneapolis) with Shwn Kuruneru, Mary Simpson, Ryan McLaughlin, and Robin Cameron's vase-sculptures; Canada (New York) with a curated display of its stable; Neon Parc (Melbourne) with Paul Yore's mixed-media paintings; and Lefebvre & Fils (Paris) with a ceramic installation by Roger Herman. The fair's overall quality was uneven compared to its golden years, but these galleries offered strong, diverse proposals.
