Nabil Nahas Selected for Lebanese Pavilion at 2026 Venice Biennale

Nabil Nahas will represent Lebanon at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, scheduled from May 9 to November 22, 2026. The Lebanese Pavilion, in partnership with the Lebanese Visual Art Association (LVAA), chose Nahas through a selection committee that includes Nada Ghandour, Maria Sukkar, Basel Dalloul, and Elie Khouri. Ghandour is serving as chief commissioner and curator for the third consecutive time. Nahas, who was born in Beirut and divides his time between Beirut and New York, earned his BFA from Louisiana State University and his MFA from Yale University. His artwork, which draws on Mediterranean and Manhattan styles, is part of major collections, and the committee praised his deep engagement with themes of nature, geometry, and the universe.
