NABA's Blackout Book: A Four-Part Exhibition on Artribune
NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti has launched a new exhibition called the Blackout Book, which is presented in four parts on Artribune. This project is inspired by Nanni Balestrini's unfinished poem 'Blackout' from the 1970s. Developed by Marco Scotini and Andris Brinkmanis, it involves curators and students from NABA's Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies in Milan and Rome. The exhibition delves into themes like ecology, archives, and gender, using interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches. It's designed as a book mirroring Balestrini's poem structure. Notable curators, including Ana Dević and Pierre Bal-Blanc, chose the participating artists, such as Gaia De Megni and Ambra Castagnetti, who explore memory, identity, and social critique.
