N.I.C.E. Master for Curators Opens Applications at Paratissima

Applications are open for N.I.C.E. (New Independent Curatorial Experience), a master's program for curators that allows each participant to produce their own exhibition project with a catalog, presented at Paratissima in Turin during Artissima art week. The course runs March 2018 with three full-time weeks and 132 hours of study, plus 15 days in November for project realization. The best student receives a paid scholarship as Assistant Curator to the artistic director of Paratissima 2018. The 2017 edition featured seven exhibitions: A doppio filo by Annachiara De Maio with 14 artists including Isabella Angelantoni Geiger, Asako Hishiki, and Carla Mura; Beyond the map by Soriana Stagnitta with 16 artists including Yann Bagot, Benoit Billot, and Brankica Zilovic; Infanzia Interrotta by Aida Biceri and Carolina Bottisio with 11 artists including Elisa Anfuso, Gabriele Zago, and Alexis Rosas; In/Stabilità by Gaia Disarò and Tommaso Pagani with 9 artists including Jeremy Magniez, Roberto Mitolo, and Rebor; L'ombra della luce by Annalisa D'Apice and Corinna Trucco with 10 artists including Matteo Emery, Juan Eugenio Ochoa, and Ylenia Viola; Monstrum Vel Prodigium by Camilla Ballor and Giulia Nelli with artists including Giuliana Bellini, Irene Caroni, Ilaria Clari, and Django Nokes; and Pre-Giudizio Universale by Rita Alessandra Fusco and Maria Elena Levoni with 13 artists including Luca de March, Ina Ripari, and Francesco Napolitano. Applications close February 28, 2018.
