My Brightest Diamond Releases New Album with Music Videos by Murat Eyuboglu
Shara Worden, the American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known as My Brightest Diamond, released her latest album 'All Things Will Unwind' in October 2011 on Asthmatic Kitty Records. The album was conceived in just two and a half months after Worden was commissioned to perform at Lincoln Center, where she had access to many musicians and a significant budget. The music blends alt rock, chamber pop, electro-folk, new-jazz, opera, and dark-wave, with influences ranging from Kate Bush to David Byrne. Two short films directed by Turkish photographer and filmmaker Murat Eyuboglu accompany the album: 'Be Brave' and 'We Added It Up', the latter featuring a dance duet by Jennifer McQuiston Lott. The album cover was created by artist Hrafnhildur Arnardottir, also known as Shoplifter. Additionally, Worden was cast in Matthew Barney's latest film project in Detroit after an audition with composer Jonathan Bepler. Upcoming live performances include November 21 at Angelo Mai in Rome and November 22 at Teatro Martinitt in Milan.
