My Archischool trains custom AI models to preserve architectural authorship

Hong Kong-based My Archischool is pioneering a custom AI training method that transforms AI from a generic copycat into a personal design partner for architects. The institution teaches students to treat their design archives—sketches, renderings, material palettes—as protected training data, building secure data libraries that amplify unique visual identity while preventing copyright theft. The workflow spans a project's lifecycle: in the initial form-making phase, a physical model is photographed and rendered through the custom AI to explore mass disposition and building heights; during the building stage, layouts become immersive 360-degree walk-throughs generated in minutes; at the detailing stage, the AI coordinates complex micro-proportions, seam lines, material orientation, and color alignment using photogrammetry. This approach lowers financial barriers of traditional rendering software and shortens the timeline from concept to high-fidelity reality, allowing creators to focus on pure spatial design. Student Albus Oscar Chung's work demonstrates the method, with images of his campus design showing AI-generated forms and a 360-degree walk-through.
