MVTrack: Ultrafast Moving Object Tracking from Compressed Bitstreams
MVTrack, a groundbreaking ultrafast tracker for dynamic objects, has been created by researchers to function directly on H.264 bitstreams, eliminating the necessity for pixel reconstruction. This innovative system integrates MVDet, a compact detector for motion vector fields, alongside MVLink, a streamlined kinematic association module. In tests on the VIRAT dataset, MVTrack surpassed YOLO26n while utilizing 60 times fewer parameters, needing 40 times fewer FLOPs, and achieving an 8.6 times reduction in CPU latency.
