Muzing: Tinder-like app for museum dating launches in Italy
Muzing, a social network app designed to connect people through shared cultural interests, has launched its definitive version on iOS and Google Play after a pilot in November 2018. Created by Aurélie Hayot and Timothy Heckscher of culturaliv.com, the app allows users to find nearby exhibitions, express interest in shows or other users, and chat. Museums can register to promote their programs. The app was inspired by a National Endowment for the Arts study showing 22% of Americans avoid museums because they have no one to go with. Heckscher states the mission is to inspire creativity through meaningful human connections. After launching in France, London, and New York, Muzing enters Italy at the Madre museum in Naples.
