Muyunafest 2025 Floating Stage by Espacio Común in Iquitos

In May 2025, as the Itaya River rose, Espacio Común teamed up with the Belén community in Iquitos to construct a floating stage for Muyuna Fest. This film festival aims to highlight Amazonian stories and promote global forest conservation. The temporary structure, measuring 175 m² and curated by Valentina Díaz, was positioned right in front of the Estrellita de Jesús Early Childhood School. The architectural team included Daniel Canchán Zúñiga, Paula Villar Pastor, María Hidalgo Mera, and Jimena González Ochoa. Rafael Silvano Tanchiva and his crew handled the construction, while Natalia Power Morán and others managed community involvement. Collaborators ranged from local artists to various organizations, all celebrating the area's unique culture and environment.
