Museum of Life and Science May 2026 Community Events
The Museum of Life and Science in Durham, North Carolina, will participate in multiple community events throughout May 2026, offering hands-on science activities. On May 3 and May 24, they will be at the Black Farmers' Market at Durham Tech Community College from 1-4 pm. Every Wednesday (May 6, 13, 20, 27), they will host activities at the Durham Farmers' Market in Durham Central Park from 3-6 pm. On May 9, they will present Butterfly Lifecycles at the JES Avanti Foundation's Heritage: A Gathering Place from 10-11 am. On May 16, they will attend the Bimbé Cultural Arts Festival at Rock Quarry Park from 1-7 pm, featuring a Durham 2100 activity imagining the city in 2100. Also on May 16, they will co-host Climate Game Night at Atomic Empire from 6:30-9 pm with the NC State Climate and Sustainability Academy, using serious games to teach climate resilience. On May 17, they will participate in El Futuro Kermes at El Futuro Durham from 2-7 pm, celebrating Latino cultures.
