Museum of Islamic Art in Doha to Reopen on October 5
On 5 October, the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha will welcome visitors again after undergoing enhancements designed to improve educational opportunities and accessibility. This reopening aligns with the timing of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The museum's permanent collection will showcase more than 1,000 items that have either been newly acquired or restored, presented in a way that fosters visitor interaction and contextual understanding. The galleries will explore historical and cultural themes from different eras and regions, emphasizing Islamic artistry and global trade connections. Additionally, a temporary exhibition titled "Baghdad: Eye’s Delight" is scheduled from 26 October to 25 February 2023.
