Museu Paranaense's Public Program Concludes Second Edition with 30% Attendance Increase

The biennial Public Program 'Corpos ― Indícios, Matrizes ― Espécies' at the Museu Paranaense (MUPA) wrapped up in August after a run that began in May, attracting 27,520 visitors—an increase of nearly 30%. The closing events on August 23 and 24 featured a workshop and a performance of 'Poperópera Transatlântica' by São Paulo's Grupo MEXA. MUPA's director, Gabriela Bettega, emphasized the program's importance in promoting diverse perspectives. The upcoming 2024 program will include 60 events, a rise from the 40-50 offered in 2022. Highlights from this year included Stefanie Egedy's sound installation in July. All encounters were documented and shared on social media and YouTube. The 2022 edition also saw participation from the Huni Kuin people and the release of a catalog exceeding 400 pages in August.
