Museo Vela presents video installation by Adriano Kestenholz
On September 5, 2021, the Rete dei Musei d’Arte del Mendrisiotto (MAM) celebrated its first anniversary with free admission and guided tours across its five museums: Museo Vincenzo Vela, m.a.x. museo in Chiasso, Museo d’arte Mendrisio, Pinacoteca cantonale Giovanni Züst in Rancate, and Teatro dell’architettura. At 5:00 PM, the Museo Vela hosted artist and filmmaker Adriano Kestenholz, who created the video installation "Vincenzo Vela. Il sogno della materia." The installation includes a musical documentary of the same name and seven music clips viewable on Play RSI. Accompanied by Andreas Pflüger's music, the piece juxtaposes Vincenzo Vela's preparatory plaster casts with the corresponding marble and bronze sculptures located in Switzerland, France, and Italy.
