Museo Picasso Málaga Launches Summer Campaign 'Summertime' with Extended Hours and Digital Content

The Museo Picasso Málaga has unveiled its summer campaign 'Summertime', inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the artist's world through a blend of physical exhibitions and digital initiatives. The campaign's slogan, 'Sumérgete en el Picasso' (Dive into Picasso), encourages exploration of the museum as a refreshing cultural oasis amid the bustling city of Málaga. A key visual is a 1948 photograph of Picasso on the beach at Golfe-Juan, French Riviera, taken by Robert Capa, co-founder of Magnum Photos. The museum will showcase works related to the sea, beaches, and Mediterranean landscapes in the exhibition 'Pablo Picasso: estructuras de la invención. La unidad de una obra', alongside the temporary show 'Joana Vasconcelos. Transfiguración'. Digital offerings include a playlist inspired by George Gershwin's 'Summertime' (1935), podcasts now available in English and Spanish, and social media content under #SummertimeMPM. The museum extends its hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until the end of August, with free admission on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m. Located in the Palacio de Buenavista, the museum also highlights its garden and archaeological site as tranquil spaces.
