cultural-heritage · 2026-04-26

The Museo Mangini Bonomi in Milan celebrates its 40th anniversary with the launch of ArtPlace 3D, a digital platform enabling virtual visits. The museum, located at Via dell'Ambrosiana 20, houses over 3,700 everyday objects collected by Emilio Carlo Mangini (1912–2003) and his son Giuseppe (1945–1988), who purchased the medieval-origin building in 1978. The Fondazione Emilio Carlo Mangini – Museo Mangini Bonomi was officially founded in 1985. The collection spans from the 14th century to the 1980s, with items from Italy and France, organized into 40 thematic sections. The 3D project, developed with Smart Factory, was funded by Regione Lombardia's Innovacultura 2024 grant. Visitors can follow four guided tours enhanced with multimedia content and audioguides, while remote users can explore the same itineraries virtually.
