Museo Egizio Director Leads Virtual Tours on YouTube

During the coronavirus closure, the Museo Egizio in Turin launches 'Le Passeggiate del Direttore' on YouTube. Director Christian Greco, an Egyptologist who has led the museum since 2014, hosts weekly episodes every Thursday and Saturday in March and April. Each 8-minute video offers thematic explorations of the collection, replacing the popular in-person tours that previously accommodated 30 visitors monthly by reservation. Greco states the museum must remain accessible as shared heritage, especially during lockdown. The series aims to build a complete narrative of the museum's galleries over two months.
