exhibition · 2026-04-27

On June 24, 2022, the mudaC – Museo delle Arti di Carrara will unveil its newly organized permanent collection, following two years of efforts spearheaded by scientific director Laura Barreca alongside the STARTT studio. This collection showcases pieces from notable artists such as Yuri Ancarani, Fabio Viale, David Tremlett, Carol Rama, Andrea Branzi, Jannis Kounellis, and Grazia Toderi. The initiative received backing from Carrara's Culture Department, the municipal Culture Office, and marble company Gemeg. The museum features a ground floor dedicated to temporary exhibitions and a first floor displaying over 60 works from the late 20th century to the present. Barreca emphasized the museum's commitment to inclusivity and community engagement, including partnerships with the Accademia di Carrara and the 'Commons' program.
